  1. Should be just like any other Saiga. Built in the same factory. EAA (European American Armory) just imports a lot of European weapons, including the awesome Witness pistols made by Tanfoglio.
  2. The more I hear and see about this thing, the more I must own one. They need a date on it.
  3. Yeah boots are expensive, but never buy cheap ones. Just like with optics on a rifle... Buy once, cry once.
  4. Century only imports these pistols. Century build rifles are somewhat iffy, but these will all be good to go. I personally like the Makarov better than the CZ82, but both are fine pistols. The CZ82 has the more familiar button magazine release, polygonal rifling, and is well built. The Makarov is also built like a tank. I just think the Makarov is a bit better looking. You may also consider a Polish P64, or P83 as they are also both in 9x18 and excellent pistols too.
  5. Are you talking about the plastic that goes into the gas tube, or the whole gas tube and handguard? I've swapped the handguards off gas tubes a lot, just need something to hold the tube solid like a bench vise.
  6. Ive always liked pistol grips on shotguns. They give me more control of the weapon, puts my wrist in a better angle, and makes it easier and faster to reload. I like and can use both but I prefer a pistol grip. I agree on a pistol grip AND a stock, I like it too. But I'm talking about the shotguns that are pistol grip and no stock at all. From my understanding that's what all the hubbub is about lately.
  7. I never did see what the big deal was about a pistol grip only on a shotgun. I always would see them in movies or at gun shows and wondered.... "Who the fuck are these people buying those?" I think it's an asinine thing to try to ban, as with all bans. I surely support the right of people to have one if they want, but it's not for me. If they want to reduce the effectiveness of weapons, they need to be banning stocks on them.
  8. If it's built in a foreign factory generally the rifles are good to go. I'd just get something foreign build (perhaps a WASR which is build in Romania, and then modified by Century) and inspect it in person if at all possible. For me I require foreign receivers, chrome lined foreign barrel and those two requirements have never ever let me down.
  9. I like how it has the writing on the handle like it's from a set of cheap nunchucks from a Halloween costume.
  10. Actually it's a pretty liberal thing for a government to allow citizens to possess weapons.
  11. There are also Bulgarian magazines marked with a ((21)) I have a few of them. They are supposedly a little less common than the 10's. I believe there is another factory as well but don't remember the number.
  12. I don't feel like using a forklift to lug my rifle around. They can keep that gigantic thing.
  13. I don't know much about them but I've never seen one that cheap.
  14. If the magazines only have TWO ribs at the bottom they are either Chinese or Yugo. If they do not have the spine up the back they are definitely Chinese. If the follower is flat on the back with a solid plate on the back as well, they are definitely Yugo. You can take any steel magazine, flatten the dimples out of it, and use a correct follower to make a BHO mag, but Yugo's can be found for cheap enough to not worry about replacing followers to make them.
  15. If it's for range use mostly, definitely 5.45, you'll have so much fun outshooting guys who think they're cool with 1500 dollar tacticooled AR's.
  16. What do you want to do with it and what role do you want it to fill? Personally I'd go with 5.45 if you don't already have a high capacity, intermediate cartridge, semiautomatic rifle.
  17. I don't have a 7.62 Saiga, but in my Romanian, I run steel Yugo mags with the BHO follower. I never had any problems at all with standards steel surplus mags, but I like the BHO feature on the Yugo's.
  18. Don't even mention trying to get the bolt hold open spring back like it is supposed to!!!!!! Talk about a PITA!!! This is a piece of cake actually. What I do is I put a twist tie through the BHO spring, then put the ends of the twist tie through the slot that the lever sticks out of so that they stick out the bottom of the receiver. Pull on the two ends of the twist tie and it will force the spring down into position for you to install the trigger axis pin. Now you have the spring and the trigger in where they go. Just pull the twist tie out, install the BHO plate with the hammer pin as u
  19. Don't sweat it man, that's a very common mistake.
  20. You should also be able to hold control and scroll the mouse wheel. Or the scroll function on the touchpad if you're using one of those.
  21. Don't be an asshole. They have put out shitty products in the past. For safety sake, the general public should be aware of this. Do you have a first hand experience with a Kel Tec melting, misfiring and breaking in your hand? I own and have owned a lot of "plastic" guns and none of them ever melted or broke on me (and very rarely do I have a misfire with anything that isn't ammo related). blah blah blah... I made bad decisions buying bubba-d POS guns blah blah blah Not bad for a company that only puts out "abortions"! Actually, there is this new thing called a search e
  22. I have read at multiple places that the "word" is that you'll be able to get two of these for the price of a RFB. So I'd imagine they'll be about 700. Which, in my opinion, isn't too bad on something brand spanking new that isn't a clone of an AR.
