  1. LOL and THAT is why i have the GL pad . Ive always wanted to try and get a mercury reducer inside my polystock, im just not sure if it would be worthwhile.
  2. Nice GOB! Epic win for you. Now to procure a SAW ammo can or two.....
  3. I agree with Azrial. Its hard to know what will work for you when nothing works the same for everybody However, I will tell you what I thought was essential for a SHTF setup....some way to mount a tac light to the handguard. I invested in a TLR2 and, initially a halo handguard (junk but i miss the beefier look) but now a Chaos quadrail. It wouldnt be a bad idea to look at some of the builds in the picture section and ask questions about them, it might help you move in the right direction as far as your build goes...thats what I did and now I have tons of ideas and very little funding lol
  4. ROFLMAO! I know what you mean, lol, that was great! Awesome weapon!
  5. HEY JUGG! Let me know what you think compared to our HALOs, my top half is still broken.
  6. ok that makes sense, thanks guys.
  7. Quoted from the list of modifications/upgrades on the Tromix site. ""Rear of receiver re-machined to the correct angle." I was asking what this was meant to accomplish because i had no idea what it improves. Is this modification for the installation of buttstocks that protrude directly rearward inline with the receiver like a collapsible M4 stock?
  8. Crap I was laboring along under the delusion that was some sort of choke... IPSC_GUY SIERRA II ALPHA That's ok..you can just call it your "slug choke"... You call that a slug choke? That's not a slug choke... this is a slug choke! MAN! i want one of those.
  9. Lol i knew somebody remembered, thanks.
  10. what was the reduced price of a drum when Mike D started taking orders? I bought two, and cant even rember when i placed the order, but i dont feel like going through all my statements looking for it when i know somebody here remembers. im tabulating the amount of money ive spent on my saiga. im stoked that they are on the way, or will be soon. oh yeah, and on a standard tromix conversion, Tony remachines the back of the receiver to the correct angle. what does this accomplish?
  11. From my forum experience the answer to your question has always been that these weapons do not cycle reliably with less powerful ammunition until after the action is sufficiently "broken in" by using stronger ammunition. Some members here actually wont purchase ammunition unless it has a certain amount of "boom" in it and still others weapons will eat any shell fed to them out of the box like you said. What you need to do is break in the weapon with some stronger shells until it chews up the #8s you have like a champ. Also remember setting 1 is for high powered shells and 2 is for the light st
  12. I invested in the model with the self cleaning action.
  13. Wow nice job! All for 9 bucks!
  14. This thing? Or this? I was thinking about it but im also unsure if this is a significant improvement over the OEM cover or if its just another must have gadget for all the gadget havers. No offense. It might be nice to be able to access the insides of the gas block but it doesnt look like to me that you could properly clean all of it without removing the whole assembly just like the OEM cover. More complicated = more prone to failure.

    Bayonet Lug

That bayo looks awesome on the saiga. Except i'd have to call it a "pig sticker" if i put it on my gun cause...well, thats just my style.
  16. That thing is wicked ugly.
  17. I am remembered!!! Whats up BOB! Thanks for the input Tony. I can see why that would put all of the stress on the screw.
  18. Lol thats crazy! I didnt see this, it is almost an exact copy of the halo.
  19. Just wanted to come back out of my shell once again and actually DO a post, you know like i did every day when i first joined with all of my noobert goober questions. "Whats the deal with the "1" and "2" on that spinney thing on the front?" First off, I'd like to report that my saiga has tried to shake off my HALO like man's best friend shakes off H2O. Its as if my russian buddy is telling me that the HALO was, is, and will always be an inferior addon, however i digress. I still love the HALO despite its pitfalls. Like the machine screw for the bottom half. Imagine my surprise as the w
  20. Thanks for your dedication to this project Mike, with its completion you will be able to not only brush off all the comments of all the impatient individuals and naysayers, but you will be able to throw 20 round of lead downrange at all the comments mentally and know what it actually feels like. I too will keep your family in my prayers, my great grandmother is turning 90 this coming 5th. We are all extremely happy for you and, now, for ourselves.
  21. damn man looking sweet, this might sway me from paying uncle sam 200 to get my barrell shortened.
  22. LOL Waltham! This is gonna be freakin sweet, take your time cobra like you said the drummies will keep us occupied for a bit while you do what you do.
  23. Thanks for the reminder Tomovich! Ordered!
  24. TAPCO makes some decent parts, i think it would do ok, but we are talking about CTD.com here there not exactly known for quality
  25. Ok, so night vision goes in front of the red dot. Which is good news since the kobra would sit farther back. Anybody know about the site picture of a Kobra with a HALO? I know that this question has been asked before but I just didnt get a clear answer when it was I just saw this, that will definatelt see clearly over a HALO. Yout guys dont think thats mounted on the dust cover do you? Nevermind! The damn picture says thats a gen II meaning it is a side mounter, still any more input would be appreciated.
