  1. I used to use bofa but after so many screw overs I switched to a local bank. I would have quit them over the illegal alien accounts if I hadnt quit them already. Fuck the bank of unamerican.
  2. You're right. For some reason nothing comes up. Here is a link for a recent discussion on it. http://forum.saiga-1...__1#entry677808 I did the search and got 44 topics...

    My Saiga12 "BULL"

That's a GREAT idea! I've had an idea I've been kicking around as well. It's not gun-related though, you see, it's a machine that works like a copy machine except it doesn't print the copy, it sends the printing information through phone or internet lines to tell ANOTHER machine just like it to print up the copy that you scanned hundreds of miles away from where you scanned it. It would APPEAR that someone has stolen my idea. Obviously I'll have to sue...

    My Saiga12 "BULL"

I have some thoughts about something similar, but it would have a second puck in front of the gas ports, covering the vent holes, with a strong spring in front of that. When you fire light loads the pressure is enough to cycle the action but not enough to overcome the strong front spring so the front puck doesn't move. With magnum loads the pressure is high enough to move the front puck forward, uncovering the vent holes and releasing gas until the pressure falls to the "regulated" level.
  5. A one-by won't fit inside the spring. I made a block that fits inside the spring. It makes it easier to load the mag with the bolt closed.
  6. Here is another test video I found. This one done by the fine folks at Brownells. Phantom, Vortex, VLTOR, birdcage, and open muzzle. In this test the Vortex had the lowest flash. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AqoUMUkro78&NR=1
  7. Looking at velocity vs barrel length with the 5.56 there isn't much difference between 16 and 18, especially with bullets of 62gr and heavier. I'll take the 30fps hit for the handier length. The rifle is on it's way to tenngalil now. And when I get it back... I'm taking my 21" FAL to have it chopped to 18" and add an original Steyr short flash hider. You can't stop me!
  8. Or for real reliability I'd guess. No point in putting a toy red dot on a 12ga. Iron sights (even the stock ones) will serve you much better if you can't afford a decent rds.
  9. Where is the "self regulating" part?
  10. The problem with the 3 prong on the A1was that GIs were using them to open cases of c-rats and kept breaking the prongs. While nobody questions the signature suppression of a can that isnt the topic here.
  11. I will check that vid. But the vid I posted above shows subztantial flash with the birdcage. I also saw a vid testing the blackout vs vortex vs birdcage. Both blackout and vortex had substantial reductions in flah with the birdcage very noticable. The blackout definately edged the vortex in that test but the difference was slight. I can see picking the blackout as the winner but the birdcage sucked in both tests. So any test that shows the birdcage better than the vortex I need to see before I believe. But do let me say a few words about night vision and thermal imaging...
  12. Aha! I figured it out. I knew she looked familiar. It's Olivia Wilde.
  13. I looked at the Tapco forend and then went to CSS and bought the Phoenix. It fits the lines of the S12 better imo. I really didn't want a quadrail.
  14. I think this video is a must see, even if you're not in the market for a flash hider atm. As I was looking for a new flash hider for my Golani I came across it. Awesome company. After watching it my choice of flash hider is clear. Not only is the Vortex the best in function, (according to many knowledgeable sources) but after I found out Smith Enterprises gives them away free to our troops who have to pay out of pocket, I couldn't give my money to anybody else. Of course I can't find them as cheap as they say in the video, but still less than $60 is a pretty good price for quality.
  15. I think somebody in Turkey misunderstood. They think a shotgun has to be 18" tall... The best thing about this thing is how great it makes the KSG look by comparison. Tony: At least they had the rear sight in the rear and the front sight up front. Points for that at least.
  16. Assuming you're talking about war if you have belt-feds along, so in a battle situation... As I said, I believe in aimed fire. 30 rounds in a mag means I might be able to kill 30 bad guys. Well, a guy can dream... I do have a slight bias in that area based on my Scarlet and Gold background. Every Marine is a Rifleman. There are still times when facing numbers of bad guys that it would be nice to be able to launch more than one bullet with one trigger pull. Especially if they're cooperative enough to bunch up. Doesn't qualify as suppressive fire, unless you consider killing b
  17. You can convert any pistol to a rifle legally without any paperwork. However you can't convert a rifle to a pistol, ever. Once a rifle, always a rifle. True. Even if you remove the stock it's still a rifle. Of course if it started life as a pistol, had a stock and 16" barrel added, and then had the stock removed and the short barrel put back on, it would still be a pistol as far as anybody could prove. But by the letter of the law you have made an sbr. Simply adding a 16" barrel doesn't make a pistol a rifle. Adding a stock makes a pistol a rifle, regardless of barrel leng
  18. McUzi... Haven't heard that name in years. The most famous gun forum troll ever. Even got his name in the Urban Dictionary. Well that was... Odd and marginally irrational. But thanks.
  19. Overgassed is more likely. And would also explain his "kicks like a mule" remark. If it's driving the bolt carrier into the rear trunion with jackhammer force that would make it kick. A true self-regulating system would certainly be possible. But I don't see any vent holes to release excess pressure...
  20. I'm sure whatever you said was funny but I didn't read it. I just sat staring at your avatar. What is she SAYING???
  21. Against them really isn't the way I'd put it. I tried to restrain myself, but you asked... CAUTION: IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ A RANT ABOUT AIRSOFT, DO NOT CONTINUE. AND IF YOU DO, DON'T BITCH BECAUSE YOU WERE WARNED. . . With that said... Airsoft is the most pathetic mall ninja crap I've ever heard of, seen, or even conceived of. Good lord. Grown men running through the woods peppering each other with tiny plastic BBs would be bad enough, but they have to put every mall ninja retarded accessory known to man on their "tactical" bb guns that are designed to look exactly like
