Found a mole flopping around in a puddle. Sonofabitch had claws like a snapping turtle! Turns out, mole fur is pretty popular for using on the inside of IWB holsters, because it's so soft. Shoulda kept that little bastard! lol

Found a Pug running around my neighborhood. I walked it around to see if anyone recognized it, then took it in for a couple hours. Fed it, gave it water and washed him down. Went out to dinner and came back to see a woman and her son walking around with a flashlight and whistling. Turns out it is their elderly neighbors dog and she's been torn up all day because he got out and took off. He's back with his owner now, and all is well. =)

Thanks guys. The way I see it, I would hope someone would do the same for my dog, and look after it. I'm just glad we found the owner and didn't have to keep him over night, because our roommates have 2 giant Boxers, one of which would have eaten the little guy, lol.

Found out from a neighbor that 2 cars were broken into in our complex's parking lot the other night. For their sake, I hope they don't break into my car or my girlfriend's car. Any law againts leaving poisonous snakes in your car at night? lol

Found out last night that I have to go into work tomorrow for a mandatory class. The thing that sucks is, it was my day off.......and my birthday! Ah well. Should be out by noon.

Found out my new schedule for work. Max days in a row I'll work is 4, every other weekend off, and I work only 14 days a month! Now let's see how I deal with 12-hour shifts, lol.

No work gun for me. I work at the jail. No weapons in the "secured" area where I work. I do get to see some exciting stuff, though, lol.

General Sessions court at work today. It was nice to see some shitbags get sentenced to MANY years in prison. They had it easy in the county jail. Now let's hope they learn how to get a good grasp on the soap in the showers at state prison! lmao

All the sentences I personally entered into the computer were for violent crimes.

Lets just say that some smaller states that don't have many prisons like to mix level 4's with the level 2 DWI people...

There's a handful of prisons upstate that allow proper classification of sentenced inmates. At the jail I work at though, most people are "pre-trial". You can be in there for DUI, and be bunking with someone charged with murder, all depending on your classification. Kinda crazy, but that's the way it goes.

Got a call from my parents this morning. Our dog we got when I was 6th grade (17 years ago) passed away early this morning. My dad's taking it the hardest. Man, there's nothing like hearing your dad choked up on the phone, to fuck with your heart. Especially when he's a "rock", otherwise. Give your pets an extra tummy rub for me tonight.

Had to work last night during the time change. For some reason, the 13.25 hour shift seemed SO much longer than the normal 12.25 hour shift. Watching the clock go from 1:59 to 1:00 on the computer was disappointing, lol.
