  1. Parts you need: 1) Trigger group (G2 is the standard and does require minor mods or buy one already tweaked) 2) Shepherd's crook or Krebs Custom type plate (get the shotgun one if you're doing a shotty) 3) Disconnect spring (you can grab one from your old trigger group, but it's easier to get a new one) 4) Grip nut/bushing (Tapco make one that comes with a full length AK grip screw for about $10; if you go with some of the trigger guards (Tromix or Saigatech), they will have one of these built in) 5) Stock of some sort (I've never tried a factory stock with a converted gun, but it does
  2. Cameron, I'm eagerly awaiting this drum. Looks and sounds great. Jake

Nicely done. Thanks for sharing. Jake
  4. Ok, I'm a bit of a tool and misplaced my MD-20 box. How is this stuff in the drum? I can get it for about $21 + shipping/100 shells. Decent price? Winchester Xpert Shotshells Also, I can't seem to find the thread that had recommended shells. Anyone point me in the right direction? Jake
  5. Mike, That sounds like great news. Cool to see you doing well. Let me know if I can help you with any of the FFL/SOT stuff. Also, be aware of the ITAR stuff when making decisions. Jake
  6. Hey Lorie, A happy birthday to you! Jake P.S. when you gonna get a gun?
  7. This is actually not quite accurate as to the process. You are correct that a manufacturer with an SOT can 'make' SBS's without paying the $200 tax. However, there is always a tax due. They have to pay excise tax AND if their production rises above a certain threshold, they have to pay double the 'reduced' SOT. Then there is the huge paperwork ass pain. Tromix are wise to just have the customer 'make' their own SBS's. Jake
  8. Hey, I missed this too. Dang. I had to work anyway, but glad you'uns had a good time. Jake (ypsi)
  9. I like the uncle mike's quick detach the best. If you want a basic ACE model (not shown in Bob's link) let me know and I'll get one out to you. Jake
  10. DR, Actually, Richard makes a slightly different stock for Tromix. Both stocks are very nice in my opinion. I have a Tromix stock on my Max-11 and really like it. The ACE internal block angle problem has been fixed. Jake
  11. Alright, done and done. Will be sending the money order today! Thanks for the info guys Did you snatch it up? It still appears to be up for sale. Honestly, I'm surprised it lasted since 12/26, with no buyer. There is more than one for sale. Jake
  12. K.C., I do not sell here as I am not a business member. The sets I got today are all mid length stock, 1" pad, folder, and internal block. If you are having trouble getting stuff, I'd call ACE directly and ask about status. Jake
  13. That has not been my experience at all. ACE has been great to work with. However, I've placed mostly large orders. In fact, I have 50 folder stock sets with internal blocks incoming this week. Jake
  14. I've used both the push button and non-push button ACE folding mechanisms and find the push button ones are not great. They have wobble in them that is not present with the regular folding mech. Also, I find that the push button mechanism is machined is easily gummed up and then sticks. Jake
  15. Thanks Ben. 600 RPM should be easy to pull singles with. I've got a demo letter and am looking to pick up one of these! Mike's drum is crying with real tears to be shot FA! Jake
  16. Have you guys measured the ROF on the beast? It looked faster than 600. I can easily pull singles on my hungarian AK. Could you pull singles with the beast? Jake
  17. Very cool Jack! Have you tried this with the MDArms Drum? Jake
  18. The kits I did included: G2 trigger group Shepherd's crook Stock Pistol grip Disconnector spring Jake
  19. I did some group buys in the past, but have been asked not to do them anymore by the owner of the board here as I'm not a business member. Perhaps one of our business members can step up and organize a group buy? Jake
  20. This video is specific to the AK, but the principles are the same... That's some good stuff! Jake P.S. Be sure to have the volume up loud
  21. Did some deals with my man Juggs and all was good. Do your deals with confidence! Jake
  22. I really like the Galil charging handle. It is much easier to operate as a right hander. Niaolith, that handle looks pretty nice, too. Jake
  23. This is the one you want: THIS ONE Jake
