22_Shooter 1,560
- Maybe they already had the Draco, and then down the road, decided to turn it into a rifle. It'd be cheaper to buy the barrel extension and stock, than to buy a complete rifle. Still, you have the rifling of a short barrel with a piece of pipe attached to it so you still don't have a full length AK. True. But it's known that 7.62x39 performs good out of short barrels anyway. I don't see a downside, personally. Converting an already-owned Draco into a rifle vs buying a whole new rifle. Like I said, I wouldn't buy a Draco with the intention of turning it into a 16" AK.

I'm sure this'll sound stupid, but maybe he was trying to put a folder on his draco without having to cough up the $200 tax stamp? maybe he has full intentions to return it to a sub 16 inch barrel length once he has the cash? who knows, but regardless its his gun and his money and he can do what he wishes with it provided its legal

ItsAllCreated 59
For some reason I love the original look that the Dracos are derived from (AIMR) I Love these! Very nice! I keep thinking about a Draco, but I always come back to wanting a front grip, and don't wanna have to pay the "any other" tax. The tax keeps me turning back to the Rifle (just 4" longer or less if the Draco has a Muzzle break). I'd still love to have a draco though LOL! On the plus side, you have a mil-spec rifle assembled next the the AIMR that the Century monkeys haven't hacked on.
schultze13 354
The AIMR I have seen had a folding stock that folded to the left and looked like a folding stock on the ruger AC556 those are just your standard Romanian/E.German folder. there was one of these on GB with the rear trunion for $165 6months ago looking back I should have bought it. MT Predator 2,294
I spent 5 weeks in Romania with their military personnel and the AIMRs I saw had folders that folded right.

fanaticalbucsfan 15
I would like to see more pictures of any hard chrome Dracos out there. I really would like to see on in person, I'm thinking pictures are not doing them justice. I want to get my own Draco, probably from classic they have the best deal Ive seen so far, I just don't know how much I like the hard chrome yet. They are definitely unique and would be so much fun to own.

Saiga_rom 91
im getting a draco in about 15 days. i think the modifications il do to it are to stain the foregrip a deep translucent red, and install the slant cut muzzle break i bought. i really like those
fanaticalbucsfan 15
More Draco porn. Wish this was mine but its not, don't have one yet! YEL13 3
On a side note Notice how almost nobodys finished Draco has a cleaning rod? I'm not sure which thread this came up in, but someone said that many draco owners have measured their respective barrel lengths and have come back as 11.5, 12, or 12.5 inches. To me that would make it difficult to find a cleaning rod that would fit the exact length of their respective draco, of course if you really wanted to go through the trouble you could buy an extra standard length cleaning rod, shorten it to the length you need it, then thread it

22_Shooter 1,560
Back again with another sweet Draco........that isn't mine : http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=4&f=98&t=135626 BTW, I don't think that shorty AK that Costa is rocking in that last pic in Whiskey's post is a Draco. I'm pretty sure it's a modded .223 Saiga. I could be wrong, though.

corbin 621
Whiskey Minion, I really like this one you posted: Though I have to admit, the folding wood laminate was pretty cool too. I was thinking of making my 7.62x39 Saiga into a setup with the combo FSB/GB, like the Draco has. With the extended 4 piece FH I recently picked up, it should tame the blast of the cut down barrel. Originally, I was going to put it on the Draco, but it's 1/4" too short to make 16", so no stock. The flash from these pistols are quite something:
Saiga_rom 91
yea, i think the draco looks the most visually appealing with a skeleton stock on it.

WhiskeyMinion 300
I just bought a Krink rod. Its alil loose, but does the job. I know classic arms has draco cleaning rods in stock. Mine came with one but I forgot to put it back after I loctited down my quad rail who makes that flash hider? It's a bulgarian Krink brake. HotGuns 9
Here's one that I'm almost done with. Some of you may remember the Bulgarian Brake clone that I built, I stuck it on here. I did this SBR a bit different than most, choosing to go the more ergonomic route by using the Magpul collapsible stock with the grip also. The folding stock mechanism is still in the white. I fabricated that too, it needs to be painted black. This gun is very comfortable to shoot and is a big hit every time I bring it to the range. Its got the new Midwest Industries rail on it. CNC warrior makes a high quality US version (not airsoft) I had read somewhere that the Krink Breaks (flash hider), both styles, on a longer barrel than the 8" or 9" may wind up being over gasses because of the inner chambers inside the flash hiders.. With the chamber inside the hider it completely burns up the gunpowder and you get the full pressure.. Any truth to that or any indication of that on your Draco?? Maybe the rear trunnion getting beat up more than usual?? I have one of each and they are the real deal. Would love to use one or the other.. Leaning to the Bulgarian.. Maybe what I read was complete nonscence but I would like to know anyway..
