nlacy 692
So I was looking at the topic "Your Job" and it made me think about other jobs and on to dream jobs. So what's yours? My problem is that dream jobs don't pay well, or I don't have the skills. Sure there's always Porn Star, Beer Tester,Zombie Hunter, but realistically I like to read so librarian is up there. Gotta be low stress.
haugpatr 972
How about a predator drone pilot? I know there is more to it than some idiot like myself on the internet knows, but, for the sake of this argument, you get to play a video game and kill real bad guys

XXasdf 29
Any job is fine as long as I can provide for my loved ones. I'd clean toilets if came down to it. But yeah I'd love to open a BBQ joint.

Paulyski 2,227
I've loved most of what I've done, especially Mental Health Therapy & I love what I do with guns & steel, but sitting next to the airport one day while 2 F-14s took off slowly, then 2 F-16s took off slowly, then 1 FA-18 did an unrestricted takeoff litterally rocketing stright up in the air in a thunderous roar that shook me to the depths of my core, made me realize I screwed the pooch & should have joined the NAV after college rather than before, so I could have flown one of those SOB's. I've raced cars & I've torn shit up on bikes, but I don't think there's anything that can compare to the rush of having that much horsepower behind you. It's amazing to watch from the ground. I can only imagine the exhilaration of actually flying them.
G O B 3,516
I retired this year after 42 years as an elevator mechanic. It was a good trade and interesting and challenging work. That chapter of my life is now over and it is time to find new challenges. Now I would like to get into quality control. There are legal whore houses in Nevada, and I am sure that there is a need for quality control and product testing. How else can they tell a $20 whore from a $200 one? There is probably not a large amount of money in it, but then I am on a fixed income and can not afford to pay too much!

nlacy 692
That show American Pickers is pretty good. If I could do that with guns it would be sweet! Driving around the country to find/buy guns and sell them would be cool. Prob some laws that would be prohibitive. Competition shooter would be cool, again the lack of skills Zombie fiction writer...again the lack of skills.

JonnyDingDongs 158
King of the world. Trained and working as a welder, been in the same factory since I was 17. 23 now and I've learned one thing thus far: I really don't want to do this much longer. Planning on starting gunsmithing classes locally and moving to the East coast. I just wanna play with guns all day.

I got a degree in Criminal Justice but quickly learned that I dont have the patience for some of the dirt bags(read...dont like to be spit on!). Became Operations Mgr. of a small company in Ohio for WAY too many years. Decided I would pursue my dream job, became a firefighter/EMT about nine years ago at the ripe old age of 36 and haven't looked back. I love what I do!
