  1. My 2 cents...unless its exactly the same thing given to humans sold for fish, I would not use fish meds in human practice. I saw this with tetracycline where it was the human form and you just crush it and add to some hot water then pour into the tank, that would likely be ok. Often pet specific meds have the active drug in them but also contain other chems to help them dissolve in water and also do not require the same purity standards as human meds. Dog and cat meds (i have no experience here but seems more logical) are more likely to work on humans without any of the side effects you might
  2. Hi WJ, Been there done that ;-) I had pet insurance for several years and when an issue came up, they declined to cover the expense. I read carefully through the paperwork and found some small print about the specific condition my dog had(torn crutiate ligament) , and that they would not cover this unless the policy had been in place for 2 years. I think it has some potential value for an older pet, but be careful about what exclusions the policy has. They will ask you to send medical records and tend to exclude anything tied to a previous procedure. In my case, my dog broke a tooth
  3. I think I saw a Saiga 12 sporting config on the table in front of Phil. Anyone else see it? Or do I just see what I want to see ;-)
  4. Need some advice from those of you who have one or the other of the below gadgets. I am trying to decide how to best keep my guns rust free inside a safe. I have found two basic options, a Remington Mini-dehumidifier and a heating rod. Both claim to do the same thing. One you have to service on a regular basis and the other is just plug in and forget it. One removes moisture by absorbing the water in the air into crystals, the other by using dry constant heat to keep humidity low. Since they are both about 30 bucks, which one do you recommend and why?
  5. your best low cost option is an LCD tv with pc input. I do this at home for home theater and it works very well. LCD is cheaper to run than plasma and is the same technology of the computer monitor but far less expensive.
  6. Sounds like a good deal to me ;-) How about an uzi? Maybe im old school, but that is a great 9mm gun and its unusual. Even today its still rated one of the best tactical guns out there.
  7. http://www.ammoland.com/2009/07/13/new-one...un-sales-in-nj/ New One Gun A Months Law Ends Handgun Sales in NJ If you want a handgun you better buy it now! Retail Dealers will only be able to obtain one handgun a month from any source except another Retail Dealer (who is not likely to sell any of their dwindling inventory to another dealer.) As dealer inventories sell out, they will not be able to replace it except at the worthless pace of one gun a month. In a short time, there will be no handguns left for dealers to sell.

  9. Im sure it could mess with cycling. Thats a big piece of rock! Let us know if you get better results after the stone removal.
  10. A lot of fun to read! Provides an interesting insight. I always wondered why cabbies were a lot easier to deal with than the limo drivers. I used to work in the hotel business and those guys(limo drivers) were notorious for fighting for airport shots. I had one situation where two limo drivers got out and duked it out in the breezway of the hotel as to who was first for the pick up in front of the guest! Do you know if the rules are different for those guys from a license persepctive? Do you know why some of them can act as a limo or a taxi using the same vehicle?
  11. NOT IN, but here is the random number generator you wanted: http://www.psychicscience.org/random.aspx The way to use it is to fill in 1 in the first column(Generate X number of replies, so one being one winner from the pool of #s) the second field use the first "im in" post # and the third and last field is the last post # in by the time of your cut off. Glad to see another post like this. It does make the forum a lot of fun!
  12. I am very sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts will be with you and your family during this difficult time.

  14. Hi Everyone, I'm just trying to keep it goin! Ive got an ace receiver block used to do the no conversion conversion of a saiga 12. ARKBU- Ace Universal Receiver Block- Add a pistol grip to your Saiga 12 or other stamped AK receivers with an open back and upper tang without any modification to the receiver. Length extends 1.535" 'from the back edge of receiver. AKRBU is drilled and tapped in two places to allow the stock to be mounted higher for use with optical sights. Weight 180g ( 6.42 oz) Barely used, includes pistol grip screw. Does not include a sling mount. Here's
  15. Carolina shooters!! they have the ace pad.
  16. Carolina Shooters Supply offers two different springs. They are designed for lighter loads but will work in a pinch.
  17. I believe as long as the barrel is 16 inches or longer you dont have to get a stamp and register with the BATF as a SBS.
  18. Havnt messed with it myself, but saw this review: http://www.gunblast.com/Taurus-Judge.htm
  19. With the flat back adaptor I noted above, you can always switch to a non folder. The ace mechanism if you dont get the push button one is super tight, even after over 500 rounds through my gun. I like folding stocks, but there are some disadvantages. You cant fold with the drum if you want it to lock folded. The folder is a bit uncomfortable if you place your face against it without a cheek pad. Otherwise the ability to change the overall size of the weapon has some advantages.
  20. CSS has the folder mechanism too: http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...ECHANISM/Detail What I could not find was an AR stock that was not collapsible, maybe someone else can point you to a business member that has that.
  21. http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...IGA-AK47/Detail http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...ing-AR15/Detail If you dont want a folder they have a pignose adapter for the stock you could mount to a flat surface like this: http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...RECEIVER/Detail
  22. The limbsaver and or the Ace recoil pad (which is made for a tromix and ace stock respectively) is sold by several of our business members and should fit that keyhole without too much modding leaving you approx 1 inch shorter than the factory stock. Read up on the recoil buffer, most say don't use it as it causes ftf (failure to feed) problems and or wear of the rear trunion. Here are links to my two fav business members on the limbsaver. http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...ga-parts/Detail http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/se...PAD-1%22/Detail http://www.mississippia
  23. I love the look and feel of the GSG. Its like an MP5 plinker.
