  1. My .02 cents for what it's worth........ Get a 9mm, you'll actually practice with it more since ammo is much cheaper. You could have the coolest super round in the world but it doesn't mean anything if you can't actually hit anything with it. Platform wise I prefer Glock, but it's really up to you and what you shoot best with. The Glock 26 is a cool gun and I enjoy mine but for a first handgun I'd go with the G19, it's a good compromise between size, rd count and ability to conceal. No matter what you choose (I hope it wasn't the Kel-Tec) best of luck to you!
  2. I have no need for one of these.........yet I really want one! Whoa! just noticed the price! I can't remember the last drum I bought that was under $100.00.
  3. Nice guns NMO, I especially like the looks of that GP100. How does she shoot?
  4. I wouldn't call myself a prepper necessarily but like others have already mentioned, I plan for hard times economically........I.E. job loss, wifes job loss, the value of the dollar dropping down....etc. It seems to me that many a good man has gone "bad" when he can longer provide the simple things like food, water and shelter for his family. I prefer to stay a good man and not go all "lord of the flies" on folks when things are not going well for me. As far as the stocking of ammo and/or firearms, thats a no brainer for me. Most who don't or call it poppy cock don't remember the Clinton

    PSL BUILD

To better our lives by making us realize that there will always be complete and total idiots out there with very strong opinions.
  6. It's not exactly a "room" per se, but I built a hidden closet under some stairs for antiques that we never put out (truly don't even know why we keep them other then that's what boss lady wanted). It would've made a nice gun closet if it wasn't so wet all the time.
  7. Savage or Remington both are straight shooters/good companys. Why not just get the gun and add the magazine later? Then you can upgrade the stock at the same time as well as spend a little more money on glass to start.
  8. just won an auction on an RMRed Glock 19! Great way to start the day!

  9. That's pretty cool, any idea where to get them?
  10. I saw a gimmicky ad on TV and shook my head, then I saw them in my local sporting goods store so I scooped up a pack out of interest after seeing how well built they are. If you like grilling and doing kabobs these things are pretty sweet, they will end up in my bag for off the trail meat cooking I'm sure of it. Other then using them to grill (what your supposed to do) there are other uses although I've only explored a few. -makes a nifty snare -holds fish -gets cool points with the wife for not having slivers of wood in her kabob.......... the list goes on! http://www.firewiregrilling
  11. Hope all is well with Mike, other then that I'll stay out of his business. If the product isn't available then prices go up (economy 101), thus begins a search for a different product if the price no longer suits your needs........or you could continue to freak out
  12. Agreed. Then again I'm a Ford man anyway, gotta support the family!
  13. I to would like to know what stock this is, pretty cool!
  14. mizombiekilla-you should be watching just for all the Michiganders we have going this year! http://www.michigandaily.com/sports/18-michigan-athletes-headed-london-olymipcs
  15. Call me crazy but I'd opt for an AK in x39 and a bolt gun in .308 if I was in your situation.
  16. Any reason why you would go with the rifle vs. carbine length gas system?
  17. that's a hell of a deal, I say go for it!
  18. Good build thread 20-mags! I don't know how I missed it, very interested in how the BHW barrel does in the accuarcy department. Any chance you could run some loads over a chrono and post your findings?
  19. There good stuff, they put a little more beef in to there receivers and the rest of there parts are H&K on there older builds. Of the newer ones I've seen the parts they make are spec to H&K and are again well put together. Like Juggs I'm not allowed to have SBRs, but I did own there Vector V51 pistol. The roller lock helped immensly with function although the fireball and BOOOOOOOOM! out of a short barreled .308 is a little to intense IMO and the stamp could be used on something a little more functional like A Draco AK or AR in 300BLK. I sold it but wish I hadn't for the fun facto
  20. Threads like this are based off of opinion and perception as well as the area an individual lives in. Ammo for gun owners makes sense to "stockpile", especially if your a gun owner that loves to go to the range. If that's not the case for you then don't, it makes little difference to me. Short question DHS guy, have you ever done a bound back or break contact drill? How much ammo did you go through per 100m? I know my answer, but I'd love to hear yours.
  21. I've used Milwaukee and Dewalt a bunch, both worked pretty well. I've gone back to running corded versions though, you get more bang for your buck in performance and they last longer. Having a generator is always nice to for a whole slew of reasons,
  22. I run supers out of a 10" barrel AR pistol, subs for grins sometimes. I have had zero issues with function but I'm using the Noveske KX3 which creates more backpressure. When I can afford it I'd like to get a suppressor for it, so please continue to post your findings, thanks! BuffetDestroyer-What length is the barrel your using for your supersonic setup? I'm in the midst of a build that was going to be a 6.5 Grendel but at this point I don't feel like spending all the extra money (and have another caliber to reload) for bolt, mags, ammo, reloading stuff when I could have a rifle in 300 bl
