Nice to know hard work pays off! What kind of bike?

I'm still debating between two different dual-sports. One has an MSRP that's about $2K less than the other, so that's a big factor. CRF250L and a WR25R.

  2. There should never be a dremel involved in assembling a lower. Something is seriously out of spec, and needs to be sent back to the manufacturer if a dremel even enters your mind. Congrats on your first assembly! It's fun. After my first, years ago, I sort of went on a spree with stripped lowers and LPK's. Just so I could put them together.
  3. Been a long ass week. But it feels great to be pretty much working out every night and getting paid to do it!

Same here. As a gigolo, I pretty much suck.

  4. Nice Disney cast they got. I'll definitely watch it. But as Stryker said......for free. I liked the original. But I'm not sure how likely a foreign invasion on US soil would be. Not that every American is a trained fighter, but with how many guns are in civilian hands nowadays? I don't think it would go as smoothly for the invading forces, as the first one made it out to be.
  5. West Philadelphia, born and raised. On the playground is where I spent most of my days.....

  6. How do you guys like Kershaw? I had one years ago (I believe it was called The Worx, or something?) and I wasn't very impressed with it. It got dull pretty quick, but to be fair, I used it daily working in a warehouse, cutting wrap and plastic pallet bindings. I will say though, I dropped it eleventy billion times on the concrete floor, and it never broke or anything. Maybe I was just expecting it to stay sharp longer.
  7. My daily carry, when I lived in America, was a G19 (filled with 147gr Winchester Ranger T's) in a CB Supertuck, with (1) backup mag. I never really got into blades, but I absolutely have seen the usefulness of having one on you at all times. I need to get working on that. When I watched a friend literally pry open a car door (just enough to get one of those bars in to pop the lock) without breaking the blade off the handle, or bending the blade at all..........I knew I needed a damn EDC knife. It was an old CRKT he was using. I need to pick up a nice $50ish knife soon.
  8. Welcome. .........and I'm jealous of your 300 acres. T'is one of my dreams in life. You must have done something right to end up where you are. So, congrats!
  9. I always thought they would just take that lead and recycle it, take any left behind brass and sell it to a distributor or scrap yard. Sounds like this place just loves stealing money, id be pissed If I could have only brought steel cased ammo, I would have. Just to shaft them on the brass. But of course, they didn't allow steel cased (which seems pretty common for indoor ranges). After about 2 trips there, we smartened up and started going to the free, outdoor, unsupervised range at a national park about an hour away. Since it was an hour away, we'd make a whole day of it when w
  10. Great video, as always. What editing program do you use? It looks great. Not the typical cheesy editing software you see in a lot of videos.
  11. Looks good! I remember going to one of the local indoor ranges where I lived in SC. I paid for me, my girlfriend and a friend, and about shit when I saw the bill at the end. They even charge you extra money, if you bring your own ammo, for "lead cleanup". What a crock. They're going to be cleaning up the same amount of lead, regardless of where it comes from. Glad to see a range with sane pricing.
  12. Last year, I wished I had my old job back, because it kept me in great shape. Well, I got my wish....and it feels like I got hit by a truck! Haha! Looking forward to getting back into shape, though.

I know, I know. But now, with my first break being about 5 hours after I get to work....I'm jonesing HARD for a smoke! Haha! I smoke 3, back to back, on my "lunch" break.

  13. I like it a lot. It's light, and I think the Alpha rail is even lighter (in comparable size). I've thought about it. But to be honest, I was really just messing around, and just seeing how it felt/worked. I don't have an AR out next to the bed for night-stand duty or anything, so the light hasn't stayed mounted. I originally bought the light to use on my G21 that stayed on the nightstand.
  14. That's part of the bitch about it, it WAS right outside my window on the ground floor. Not to mention the XDM .40 on the night stand 2 feet from the bed. Like I said at the top I'm thankful I did't catch them in the act. Standing in front of the Judge as follows. Me: But yer honor, I felt my life was in danger. He threatend me with a chain saw. Judge: Well it appears from the video the saw was not running. Me: But yer Honor, how was I supposed to know he wouldn't start it and cut me up? Judge: I see here from the police report that you shot him seventeen times. Me: But
  15. Got my helmet that I ordered. I need a size larger, because my brain is so big. Yet I was too stupid to measure my head right. Go figure!

  16. I think it was your thread on the SP101 that started this whole thing. Those grips make me drool! I might just have to contact them... Those grips are very drool inducing! http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?/topic/74371-just-picked-up-the-sp101/page__hl__sp101
  17. If you have the serials on them and there's pawnshops in the area where this happened, I would swing by with them written down, along with the make/model and inform them to keep an eye out. Most likely, these shitbags are looking to sell them to fund other activities, not cut down trees.
  18. I have a set of the black Badger wood grips on my SP101. I just checked their site and see that they don't offer the same color for the GP100 grips. But I would email him and see if he can do it. Worst he can say is "No".
  19. Just ordered a motorcycle helmet. Now I need to get my permit again and take the MSF course.....and then buy a bike! http://images.solomotoparts.com/images/D/72-7003.jpg

Supermoto helmet? I was looking at that style but many complained about wind noise.

What bike you plan on getting?

    2. 22_Shooter

      22_Shooter

Yeah, I've read the same. This one has bigger cutouts in the peak for better airflow, and it's completely removable. Plus, I don't plan on too much highway riding. I'm pretty much dead set on the Yamaha WR250R right now.

  21. Sorry to hear that, Rob. Been there with the loss of pets. Sometimes you don't realize how much they actually mean to you, until they're gone.
