our credit rating has been down graded to aa for the 1st time in our history. Mobs of youths have been attacking people for no reason in many states. The united nations is trying to take away our countries gun rights even though they are saying that thats not what they want. A columbine incident in louisana had been stopped. It would have happened Monday. All this chaos and evil eveywhere. This is not fear mongoring its the truth. We have people in office that hate our country trying to turn it into something it was never meant to be. Alot of people on this forum and other forums have been talking about when the shtf. I say we are closer then ever for the shtf. What should we do?

stock up on 22LR, and learn how to use it, learn to fish, and learn how to survive, if you are that worried. I was taught at 5 years old.

the only advice i can give you, dude. Oh yeh, and learn how to start a cooking fire with wet wood in the rain....that helps....

Pretty amazing isn't it. Folks speak of a SHTF situation, but I believe we are witnesses to an intentional destruction of the country. If one doesn't believe this is deliberate they have their heads in the sand. Someone needs to start impeachment proceedings.

It's called "democracy". IE "socialism".

Think, and relay on this?

"No doubt the weak side of universal suffrage is too obvious to be overlooked. It cannot be gainsaid that civilisation has been the work of a small minority of superior intelligences constituting the culminating point of a pyramid, whose stages, widening in proportion to the decrease of mental power, represent the masses of a nation. The greatness of a civilisation cannot assuredly depend upon the votes given by inferior elements boasting solely numerical strength. Doubtless, too, the votes recorded by crowds are often very dangerous. They have already cost us several invasions, and in view of the triumph of socialism, for which they are preparing the way, it is probable that the vagaries of popular sovereignty will cost us still more dearly." -Gustave le Bon, On Crowds

We were a "Republic", but not now.

"Democracy is pure despotism of the rabble."

-Voltaire-

i would be willing to bet things arent as bad as you think they are.

two things i'm certain of:

* my homeland, the usa, is broke as a joke... (and on the decline)

*NASA, a source of national pride, has essentiallly been downgraded to hitchhiker

fuck this. i could do better than what's running the show right now. we all could do better. tolerating this is shit for the birds.

Notice the douchebag at the end trying to disconnect the microphone to take it before he was instructed it was thrown to them because they were expected to sing...

People like that with a sense of entitlement will & are selling their souls (and yours) for a sense of security & a little chump-change thrown their way & those who seek power have no problems buying them.

Others are scared so they comfort themselves by displays of brutality that feeds their narcissistic need of feeling powerful or in control.

But don't worry...

It all has to happen.

It's all part of the cycle of humanity.

It happens every few generations.

Be multi-talented, extremely flexible & if needed, go for the throat, but most of all trust in the Lord.

If the "SHTF" survive by being indispensable to your cause/side.

Leadership, Medical, Technical skills, these will always be valuable.

There are many mental traps in this world that in essence get people stuck in a proverbial hole where they think they have no options & feel out of control due to a lack of creativity or a mental block that's convinced them that they can't do something, so they panic & take drastic measures. They must be calmed or controlled in a catastrophic situation.

Don't be one of them.

If one is creative enough they can fair the storm.

However, it's never a good idea to allow one's self to be grouped into a flock by an overseer.

Avoid that.

waste a lot of newspaper? how????

Pour oil on the wood then light it with gas.

Sure it'll stink & the oil will smoke, but you won't freeze. The oil will penetrate the wood & burn long enough to get the wood burning.

This is how we do it when a rig breaks down when we're 4Xing in the snow.

You can burn cedar wood even if it gets wet. The oils protect it from getting water logged. If you get a hot enough fire going with it, which is easy to do as cedar burs hot and fast, any wet wood that you find at that point will work on the existing fire.

This isn't rocket science. If we no longer make anything except debt, we don't have any bargaining power. Chinese slave labor = captive US and western markets. An absence of freedom = an absence of free trade. An absence of free trade = a vacuum in free markets. A vacuum in free markets = market collapse.

If we want out of this we need to start making the stuff we buy, and buying the stuff we make.

I have been saving dryer lint for years (flint and steel ,magnesium striker or plunger igniter ) and palm tree fiber is the bomb even when wet it burns Real hot then fronds and the stems at that point any wet wood will burn . And i don`t even have to leave my yard down here in the swamp ,same for hunting it all crosses my yard because i chose a travel corridor to build my house overlooking so i can just sit back on the elevated porch and harvest what i need in comfort . Two legged meat and gas is only a 2 mile trip out , the only problem there is what to do with the "abandon" cars so more will come along

Intresting that this should be mentioned on a forum, dedicated to a forgien made product. Which I'm sure we all own one. I love my siagas, but yea I've felt the pressure to buy domestic everything for a long time. It's hard to compete with cheap prices of forgien labor. But when you start looking at WHY those products are so cheap...it's easy to see we aren't saving big $$, we're selling our future.

By "Two legged meat" are you implying cannibalism or rape, (perhaps both)?

Either way, I'm staying the fuck outta the swamp! Damn!

Sly is the closest on this one. I ignore ALL popular news and only read coinflation and zerohedge. Zerohedge takes a bit of economic background to understand, but it quickly becomes clear that nothing is free and all things are profit based for just a few people. I love our military people on the ground, but they might as well change the name of our forces to Exxon or Pepsi. Our money is near useless, but our bombs are still affective...for now. They are being outsourced too.

Keep voting red or blue, green is the only color now.

i agree.

i dont mind buying weapons made abroad, so long as they're good, but just about everything in our households are made in an asian country. and its usually junk. keep in mind this was planned many years ago. this country is no longer self reliant, and hasnt been for a long time.

the more our corporations move over seas the more people we put out of work and the overall quality of the product goes in the shitter.

id rather pay a premium price for products made here, rather than pay a cheap price for garbage made overseas. i get sick of supporting other nations economies when ours is suffering, and making the corporations rich.

same goes for foriegn aid. i hate when we give millions of dollars a year to support some third world shithole and their conditions never improve. id rather see it go to the people of our nation who need it. i dont mind helping others, but take care of ours first.

this country is on a one way road for disaster. and the speed limit keeps rising.

" I'm just wondering how bad it will get"?

Read Revelations...That's how bad it is going to get.

Lol. I meant the Christian Fundamentalism. Nothing wrong with being Christian, I r one meself, but calling this Revelations is a bit much.

Plus, we're missing all the signs, like the red calf and the rebuilding of the Temple of David.

I don't know... some in Texas believe they are seeing signs:

Bring it. I know where I'm going.

Pride is a sin, my friend. I try to be the best I can, but I often have doubts of being worthy....I think it makes me a better person.

If you're planning on getting there by works, you won't make it.

John 3:16.

now, back on topic.
