  1. Cool. When do you expect the S12 lower hand guard retainer back in stock?
  2. Do a search. All that GREAT info is already written. It does help and will probably fix your problem is your ports aren't .093".
  3. There is already a thread on this! http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=63896&st=0&p=613404entry613404
  4. I'm not a Charlie fan. The show is comical. Too bad he's just a waste case that rode the popularity bus in on his father's fame.
  5. K-var has a nice one that's "out-of-stock".
  6. Some work with felt wheels and compound will bring that shine right out. It's sure to make difference in operation. Good work.
  7. There was a thread about this maybe a week ago. here... http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?app=core&module=search&search_in=forums
  8. It really wasn't made to be cycled slowly. Let it fly forward at it's own speed.
  9. Just a couple things. The first couple digits of the serial number are the year on manufacture, and the parts list doesn't list a "stopper". I'll assume you meant the gas plug. They can be a little stiff trying to turn them at first, but it'll break in. Keep oil/grease away from this area as it tends to attract powder residue making the situation worse. Usually just depressing the detent pin is enough so you can turn it. Many people like the V-plug, I'm too cheap to be buying unnecessary parts (it was designed to run with the factory plug and it does).
  10. Do you have a source for the defnitive answer on the thread protector? Last I read, the thread protector's 922R status had been heavily debated, but there was no solid answer. Perhaps something has changed since last I looked. Yes, the piston/puck are not the same thing as the plug. That's why I stated in my post that the plug does not count towards 922R. http://thegunwiki.com/Gunwiki/BuildAkVerifyCompliance http://forum.saiga-12.com/index.php?showtopic=18530
  11. Cool. Sounds like you had fun. Really though, you don't have to lock the bolt back to load a magazine.
  12. Five kids? You would need to install a "glass bolt" in every Saiga 12 ever produced, in addition to all of those produced for the next 20 years to be able to afford that. Seriously, how to people afford to have kids? Family insurance premiums alone are extremely expensive. How do you afford to have many children? That's a lie in the form of a question that has been perpetuated on us by our society that wishes to keep us as individuals instead of cohesive families. Large families can become self sufficient & this scary to those who wish to control the populous. How do you su
  13. NOT to take away business from business members but there are instructional threads here for the DIY type. All that takes is the courage to attempt the job yourself and the tools. These men can also repair a botched job.
  14. I won't come on a gun forum and admit to it.
  15. You could always drill it out a tap it for a bigger set screw.
  16. You can but you won't get good accuracy. Saboted slugs are for rifled barrels.
  17. I doubt you need the buffer. Take some bright red lipstick and smear it on the rear trunnion before shooting some high brass stuff like buck or slugs on the number 1 setting (with the factory plug). That is a great indicator of how hard the bolt carrier is hitting the trunnion, or if it is at all. It becomes very easy for a guy to spend a lot of dough on parts for these guns, simply because the parts are there, even though they are not needed.

  19. Just seems like a lot of clams for something I'd never have an actual use for.... like so many of the tacticool items.
  20. For someone with a duplicator it should be a no-brainer. Hand crafting just takes too much time that most people aren't willing to pay for. ETA: I've considered it.
