  1. Excellent post for first time converters. All the info laid out, start to finish for the S12. Sticky?
  2. I think the Colt is the one to have. I used to carry a Colt SMG 9mm, very nice and accurate weapon. The only weak point was the magazine. If a fully loaded mag (in your hand) was accidentally bumped just right, the rounds would spew out so fast you couldn't stop it.

    FYI

Shooter's Supply in Louisville, KY also had five 19" S-12's on the table two days ago, priced at $589 I believe.
  4. Cool! I've been wondering about these mags and thinking of trying a few. Just didn't want to waste my money on some iffy mags. The polymer Bulgy mags don't fit very well on one of my AK clones (too tight).
  5. I was at Knob Creek Range shop yesterday, noticed four or five Judge models in the case. I thought one was a 3" magnum, but wasn't specifically looking for that model. I believe the prices were in the $500's. (502) 922-4457.
  6. Yes, it's not that part. The solid part of the frame/mount itself is not wide enough to slide onto the rail. I was reading the descriptions about mounts on the Kalinka site and it appears that there is a difference between AK variant mounts and rails and those for SVD/PSL types. Just for the heck of it, I took a mount and scope off a SAR1 and it would fit on the short PSL, but not the long barrel PSL. Thanks.
  7. Hey Indyarms and Rick a, Did you guys have any trouble getting the scope mount on the rail of your PSL? The one that came with mine will not fit at all, it's like the rail is about 1/16 to 3/32 too wide. However, I have a 'Paratrooper' model and the mount fits it perfectly. It almost seems that the wrong rail was installed on the longer PSL. Could I perhaps have gotten an incorrect scope/mount combo. The longer PSL was purchased as a package with scope, mount, and several mags. Thanks.
  8. Congratulations to you, Cameron. You're right to be proud of them for their accomplishments. I'm sure they wouldn't be where they are and what they are without some decent parenting, either. Good job on your part.
  9. Notice the HUGE mouse, uh, rat trip beside the peanut butter jar? Maybe it's for the two-legged ones (what's that old song, 'Smilin' faces'?) sniffin' around. He might need that S-12.
  10. No, no, it's how that diameter and length is used. The effort behind it.
  11. It's a great little gun. Minimum 10 + 1 rounds, lot of capacity in a smaller package. Mine has been reliable from day one, never malfunctioned, carried every day on and off the job. If allowed, the only gun I'd replace it with would be one of my 1911's. I purchased the 30 about eight or nine years ago to replace the 21 which was just a bit too big for me, but I kept the mags to use in the 30. To me, it has minimal recoil and I can still hit the qual target at 50 yards.
  12. What would you say is the big difference between the barrel sizes? I'd prefer a 19" due to space contraints. Umm, I don't know, about 5 inches? Seriously, I haven't seen one personally and I only have the 19" as well because I like the shorter barrel length. I don't think the 24" is threaded, either.
  13. I was in Centerfire Systems pickup location today. A handwritten sign on the wall said some Saiga 12's were still in stock, 24" barrel, for $549.00.
  14. Ditto on the peep sight and cover. Very nice and clean additions.
  15. Exactly, Mike. Right on. I waited a year after placing my order, didn't worry about it. You came through, product is great, Thanks for your efforts.
  16. I can just imagine what the good Shire Reeve (old English Sheriff) will say when he reads your letter. However, my suggestion is to totally eliminate the second and third sentences which talk of the 'danger' and 'malfunctions'. No need to implant any ideas, or give him visions of youtube videos where some idiot sprays the area with bullets. If you say there's a bare minimum of danger, you're admitting there is a danger. This next observation, don't get offended. It is merely a suggestion. As for your military experience, yes that's great as it shows the training, experience, qualif
  17. Excellent!! A perfect teaching moment.......... Congrats on the quick thinking for the moment.
