sapper1371usmc 107
Streamlight TLR-1. Small, bright, durable. I have them on all my pistols. Love em.
KROSS FA 14
Some nice setups out there, fellas. I use a Surefire M-300 with pressure switch on my personal HD S-12. Anyone using a dual flashlight set up ? Zach KROSS, LLC
mgconnor13 206
I've thought about a duel flash light set up for a bout 2 seconds but never saw the point. Every light I've seen has enough light to light up a room or reach out to the max effective range of a shotgun. I like the TLR-1 a lot. seems like a lot of people like them for the same reasons, light, bright and durable.

mgconnor13 206
Bob your 8" saiga is the coolest thing since sliced bread!!! I've admired that thing since I first saw it. Wish I could build something as sweet as that.
corbin 621
I've yet to add a weaponlight to my Saiga, but recently picked up a small personal light from Fenix, the PD 30. It's really freakin bright (up to 265 lumens, they say) and has a strobe effect to supposedly disorient an attacker. Not sure how well that works compared to a non strobing light, but whatever. Not sure if I'd want to mount it to the Saiga or not, but so far, I like it. Corbin
funshootin1 10
just picked this up, now I gotta finish my build.
Nailbomb 10,221
just picked this up, now I gotta finish my build. How many lumens? I run a cheap 250 lumen ultrafire.
crackback 135
Liked the Krebs concept of the angled offset rail with a shorty grip.

shades_of_grey 1,092
You're a mod now, Nailbomb? Well, that's cool. You've displayed a remarkable ability to not lose your temper, which is a very important quality in a mod. Congrats!!
ChileRelleno 7,071
I'm with Post-Apocalyptic, 'cept I'm running the TLR-2, same way, side mounted above VFG, thumb rests right on toggle switch.
Slug-O 6
you know what I like about those lights....the switch is very easy to use and it flips off as soon as you stop pushing on it or you can snap/click it on easier that other lights. Nice choise...
veprk 12
olight or fenix... owned more olights so thats what I stick with. Your smart for searching, way to many over priced lights out there
shades_of_grey 1,092
Holy veprk! I still run the same Streamlight TLR-01 on my S-12. However, things have changed a bit. My current setup:
Paulyski 2,227
Anyone ever try LED LENSER? LED battery life, but super high intensity lighting. They're actually a Laser led projected through a lens. I got one for Pops & he loves it. It's the only LED light I've seen that can project like conventional lights. http://www.ledlenser.com/ENG/startseite_1024.php They have modles that can mount to rails & produce 220 lumens while retaining a crazy long battery life. They even have a 1000 lumen light. (not for mounting though) Edited August 22, 2010 by Paulyski
AtlSaiga 25
Ive got an early gen streamlight tlr that's currently mounted on a glock since I don't have rails on my 12 yet. but will be buying another, with cree LED.
jekbrown 14
Streamlight TLR-1 on my S12 right now. Mounted at 6 o'clock so the lense is less than an inch past the end of the chaos quadrail. I can use the switch with the thumb on the weak hand, as it holds the VFG. They even have a 1000 lumen light. (not for mounting though) What model does he have that mounts to a rail? Picture? I got Pops's at a gunshow, so I'm not sure what the part #s are, but they do have different sized picatinny mounts up to 1 1/8" that can hold their 200+ lumen flashlights... Their single AA light will work with any AA mag-light compatible mount & is 85 lumen. But you have to be careful with these things. They're banned on the highway in Germany because it really is a big laser going through a magnifying lens & they instantly momentarily blind people if shined in their eyes... And you wouldn't want that... now would you. It takes a few minuets to reorient & have your sight back fully after being hit by them & they CAN damage your eyes if you look at them very long... But it physically hurts to look into their beam, so a person can't look. They instantly look away out of pain. Which I guess is a good thing for safety. There're warning labels on the lights & warnings all over the instruction books to this effect. The 100 hour battery life is what REALLY does it for me. I posted the site I did up there, because they don't sell anything. I wouldn't want to post active links to vendors because it's against the forum rules. A quick google search using key words like LED Lenser gun / picatinny mount would likely lead a person to more info. They have both remote wired switches & rear mount buttons available. There's a few different lumen options... You just gotta search. Here's some demonstrations. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YgoQT66YhjI&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQ8VR7u96_M Edited August 25, 2010 by Paulyski
