News flash, if you think you're more of a man because you own guns then you're as mentally afflicted as any 'brony'.

Maybe you were raised that its appropriate to make disparaging marks against people that you view as inferior in order to make yourself feel bigger (especially when none of them are here to dispute you).

Maybe your fathers are the ones that should have done a better job.

No, it's appropriate to make disparaging remarks about people who are OBVIOUSLY inferior...who gives a shit about PC, only crying-ass liberals that's who... the rest of the country needs to MAN up because obviously these folks as well as others are just sad as hell...

Could you please address this to the women on this forum that like and shoot guns as well as all the rest of these guys who have daughters that also shoot and own guns? I don't think they are engaging in this pratice to feel "manly".

Umm, what's your point with this?

I was referring to theme and tone in this thread being 'guys without guns are girly,' which in turn insinuates that 'guys with guns are more manly,' and pointing that out as an obvious fallacy.

So are you agreeing with me or just misunderstanding the thread?

I comprehend the thread and your assumption just fine. Just because one voices a colorful opinion, I did not read into anyone posts insinuating that not owning guns are a feminine quality and therefore be equated with such. You proposed that. My comment is the converse in that women also for the most part do not see owning guns as a masculine trait and I know of many effeminate men (some are homosexual) that own guns yet do not pique interest in toys meant for prepubescent girls.

I, for one, am quite surprised this thread subject matter retains so much interest with the forum members. WTF?horror.gif

There is too much tolerance for deviant shit in the world today. The internet is a freak amplifier. Normally, someone would

be into weird shit, and then grow out of it. Maybe. But, the internet makes it so he can find friends, and legitimize his deviance,

and become permanently fucked up.

Moral relativism and "it's not ok for me, but I won't say it's not ok for you" shit will kill this country. This brony shit is one step away

from NAMBLA, and members of both groups need a pneumatically propelled lead ball slammed into their nuts at high speed, with repeat

performances for the stubborn.

I didn't read ever that guys without guns are girly..

I did however get the tone that guys who consider themselves "bronies" are fucked up in the head.

people like this will never be allowed around my children.

If I found out one of these fucksticks was my sons teacher, you better believe I would do everything to get his funky ass fired.

It's just weird and creepy. I don't give two shits if someone is a gay, but there are definitely lines not to cross. If you feel the need to do this shit, keep it at home.

lol. i was looking at this link earlier on facebook. my woman is a my little pony customizing artist. she is very well known for it. she has over 1million views on deviant art, has been in several magazines, is in the aves catalog for her use of their epoxy sculpt, and has been invited to conventions around the country. i was fortunate enough to get drug to one in rhode island several years back. what really sucked is she and her friends were to scared to ask the news crew which channel they were from and what time it would air. since i manned up and asked, they fucking put me on the news at the pony con. lmao. i am no brony nor do i give a crap for mlp stuff. i do like how much she makes doing the art she does though.

*edit to add - she is also an avid hunter and has been paying for her own lease for 10+ years. She also has shot the 2 heaviest bucks on her lease since its been open. she owns several guns and can shoot wonderfully. she also laughs at how silly bronys are.

Oh really? Well, sir, look to the title of the thread:

This is what men do in states were firearms ownership is discouraged

and this comment:

Makes me feel good about taking all the Saigas out yesterday for a workout!! That was just wrong...those "people";s fathers, ought to be took out and shot!

As they say, don't piss on my back and tell me its raining.

Actually the title of the fucking thread proposed that, not me. And, again, your comment agrees with my sentiment and the point I was making so, again, what the fuck?

Nope, the title suggested no such thing.

Actually, I was thinking about the sort of nerdy, weird, humorous (and frankly, creepy) aspects of activities like "Brony" conventions, Trekkie conventions, Star Wars fanatics, and the fact that in the absence of firearms related activities like target shooting, range days, gun show outings, hunting trips - guys (in states that discourage firearms ownership) just don't have as many recreational outlets available to them . The "Brony" convention was an intentional (and I thought, fairly humorous) exaggeration of this point.

I was not, and I am not in the least bit concerned with, or interested in anyone's perception of their masculinity, femininity, sexual identity etc., etc.

The clip with the guy playing with light sabers would have been ideal for the thread - which I should have posted under "Funny Stuff - Off Topic".

Don't bet on it. Gaddis got in trouble once over at the Ubuntu forums a few years back for suggesting that Foxxy Love (from the Drawn Together cartoon series) should be the official mascot of the O.S. 015.gif

And I'm still waiting on seeing the purported Powerpuff Girls porno that's supposed to reside on the Internet somewhere. grimace.gif
