Flasharino 166
From the pics of guns on here it looks like just about everyone has a converted trigger. How did you do yours?
jeepranch 16
Take your time and read the conversion threads, its not hard, just have to understand what needs to be done. Of course you will need the right tools, but you need them to do just about anything around the house.
Wolverine 10,360
I did the triggers to accommodate the BHO on 3 Saigas. It's not hard. If you are unsure of the minor modification you can buy what you need from Cobra or Dinzag. Oh, and I installed them myself too. Check out the sticky notes and CSS's videos. oliverb 4
Have done 2 since last Summer when I got hooked on Saigas. So far I have a 410 and a 7.62 and have had great fun doing the conversions. Can be expensive, depending on how you do it but learned a lot along the way.
22_Shooter 1,560
As usual, I'm going to whore out my favorite basic conversion video: Watch it. Learn it. Do it. Pass it on.
imarangemaster 315
I have done resrorations on three Saigas in the last year. One 223 and two 7.62x39s.
sjgusmc21 850
I first installed a Tapco G2 and it was as smooth as butter, but didn't like the travel in it. So I installed a RST and absolutely had a blast doing it. Easy, but had to take my time. Worth the $60 or so bucks I paid for it..on sale.
vbrtrmn 167
I've done 3 so far, this weekend will be 4.

Rhodes1968 1,638
Worth the price of a dremel to make the job go like clockwork. Do it thy self and rejoice.
gtnichols 51
Thanks to this forum i did it myself, 3 converted saigas later my Tromix number came up and I got one of those. There are imported saigas with the trigger in the forward position already (Saiga-M), they are awesome too,
Azrial 1,091
I did my first two, I had a pro do the last one, only because he was doing everything else.
alaj70 3
As usual, I'm going to whore out my favorite basic conversion video: Watch it. Learn it. Do it. Pass it on. Yep! This vid was playing on my laptop when I was doing my first conversion. It's a great tutorial. +1! ~ alaj70
VladTepes 160
did mine and others.. lol
sailor 6
I did a compliant conversion by myself - first effort at anything approaching "gun smithing", even though I've owned guns since forever. I think the biggest thing about it, is the sense of "it is mine, my effort, my time, my skill did it". It is now a more personal weapon, a more smoothly functioning weapon, thoroughly known by me, because I got my hands into it. A good feeling. sailor
mollysman420 19
I do all my own gun work. Having a friend like Brian makes it a lot easier.

BuzzKillin 21
As usual, I'm going to whore out my favorite basic conversion video: Watch it. Learn it. Do it. Pass it on. +1 on this Video. I ran it and followed step by step, supplementing info from this forum, then jumped to the youtube video on Saiga conversion for the BHO section, then back. Best video out there on conversions.
lakedweller 10
Have a great gunsmith and he does a great job. Could do it myself but he does it cheap and is very anal so I get a great job. Next he will do my trunnion on my 223 for AR mags. I know, I know I will catch some shit but so what.... :killer:
SaigaScott 6
It isn't too hard, in the middle doing mine. The biggest thing is to get over "cutting up" your gun. Don't worry about messing up, just take it slow and step by step, and it will work out fine. And if you don't have a dremel, find a buddy who does.
clifton 354
I had Tac 47 do mine I hear there real Good. lol

3ac6ucb 24
Not to put down the professional shops, 'cause they will weld up your holes, cut your barrel, tune, polish, refinish, etc... ...but it's not hard at all to relocate the trigger.
usmc_308 0
"DON'T BE SCARED" lol. It's not that hard at all. All of the cuts on the receiver are already done for you. It's simply a matter grinding off the rivets, removing the old junk and putting the new junk in. I'm new on this forum but I have dealt with saigas for quite some time now and let me warn you, once you do one you can't stop. There addictive to convert. Just jump right in and go for it. Good LUCK
TO THE FLOOR IN A 63 121
I have bought both of my siagas converted by someone else. Maybe on the next one I will give it a try.
