define taking a shit. lots can go wrong on the newer machines hardware-wise, that makes them power on halfway and just look at you....

It boots to the HP start page anfn locks up, will go to exit, F9, F10 etc... but stays locked up. Will not boot into safe mode. Tried troubleshooting with every fix I know, Googled some more, tried those, no luck. She has a friend who is a comp geek/IT tech, they're going to come get it tomorrow and see what they can do.

No matter what, she gets a new notebook come Black Friday sales.
