2450paul 12
Hello, A friend of mine saw a Saiga 12 I built and sold at a gunshow. A friend of his wanted one so my friend told his friend he should let me build him one. He furnished the new Saiga and I built it like the owner wanted. I made suggestions and so did my friend that got me the gig. The owner dropped some coin on this build and I thought I'd submit it for your consideration. Let's start at the muzzle and work our way to the butt. Surfire "Boss" breaching standoff welded to shortened and crowned barrel(18 1/4" finished length). H&K front sight welded to gas block with Tritium vial Devconed to sight blade. UTG Quadrail forend. Tapco stubby pistol forward grip. Rear sight removed. Galil type magazine release. Benelli aftermarket bolt charging handle(yes, it rotates). H&K rear sight welded to dustcover. Ears on bottom rear of dustcover panhead allen screwed to rivet holes in rear trunion for rear sight return to zero. Mississippi Auto Arms receiver block/stock adapter. Military Police Supply steel pushbutton hinge. Ace pignose stock tube adapter. Endine recoil reducer stock tube. Magpul CTR butt stock. Inside; Tapco G2 FCG, SS piston and puck. FCG pin retention plate. Cerakote OD green finish inside and out. Out of all the Saiga shotguns I have done this one has the smoothest action I have seen. Cerakote made a believer out of me. I also believe it to be tougher than the other guys. The self lubing qualities are a plus. The Endine makes shooting this gun a pleasure. I have to say Mike Patterson's dustcover ears are a great idea for stabilizing an AK dustcover rear sight. He is an innovative and creative self taught gunsmith that thinks out of the box. He is responsible for all the tig work, blast profiling and even touched up some of my Cerakote job when my spray rig crapped out. Thanks again Mike you are a true friend. Well I guess now you want to see some pics. So you skipped ahead and did that before you read all this! I'm thesame way. I'll post all I have on Photobucket for those that can't get enough. Thanks for looking, enjoy and stay safe. Paul G. Peek-Polymer Grip Profiling Here is a link to some more Saiga 12s I have done. http://s25.photobucket.com/albums/c70/2450paul/Saiga%2012%20Shotguns/ By the way, these pics are 1280X960 pixels so you can save them to your drive and zoom in ofr lots of detail. PYRO 44
Did some more work to my S12 and re-coated the receiver & barrel dark grey with the rest black,,,,,looks like this now. The mid-barrel comp and porting made a noticeable difference in felt recoil and muzzle flip when shooting HV slugs (which I like to do).
Old18C 4
This is my 1st Saiga 12. I have used them at work and liked them but have used 870s for 30+ years and they worked great for everything I needed. I just wish I had the S12 25 years ago. This is a Krebs special a friend of mine at BlackHeart International put in my kit while I was in the sand box on my last trip. It has a 14 in barrel, Krebs safety, sights, and adjustments. I changed the grip, forearm, reamed out the rear sight to full size, (for full front sight view) and mounted an issue Aimpoint M-3 on it to zero with slugs at 100 yards. Not in view is a Streamlight TLR-1 with IR Lens cover on it for (work) night use on the left front forearm rail.

braveheart23c 0
Here's my non-converted Saiga with Tapco furniture, MD-Arms drum mag and some SGM 10 rounders. I increased the size of the ports dramatically and it now runs light or heavy loads like a champ. This thing isn't even a gun. It's more like a weapon of mass destruction! sputnik360 2
Here's my toy. Its not much compared to some on here, but its enough for what I use it for. I usually just use the 5rd mag though, its not nearly as clunky and the 12 rder that came with it when I bought it. And yes, I know the stock doesn't match the handguard For anyone who is interested, that is a Quick Shot Sling. I love it and recommend it to everyone, especially if you shoot a lot of clays. Its kinda bouncy when walking around, but its great when you are shooting. Plus it will fit any long gun or bow. Easily transferable.NON-BUSINESS MEMBER LINK! Sam Cro 14
Here are current pictures of my Saiga 12 and Arsenal SGL-31. I refinished the Saiga 12 in O.D. Duracoat. Tuned the trigger assembly. Radiused the trigger edges and reprofiled the bolt hold open lever. Also, retextured the MD Arms "Molot" grip. DeerSlayer7600 20
Picked this up a few months ago. Just ordered some chokes for it and I am going to get a few more mags for it as well. Unfortunately NY does not allow me to convert the Saiga shotguns. So it has to stay like this.
