sicktooth 8
I'm just curious as to which one you are particular to and why. The next buy for me will be another Saiga, i have the 7.62 & .308, but this time in shotgun format! Edited July 9, 2012 by Wolverine Four year old poll.
scoutjoe 276
ammo is cheaper in 12 gauge, more options available for the 12 (conversion parts etc), less finicky with ammo

The next buy for me will be another Saiga, i have the 7.62 & .308, but this time in shotgun format! 20ga because the gun is cheaper, and available Ultimak make a rail, and polychoke is avalable for it
brighamr 0
12 - due to currently available accessories, many gunsmiths who build them professionaly and step by step conversion articles :-) If accessory companies started offering more stuff for the 20, I'd get the 20 due to cost and supply. ClickClickD'oh 1
The 12. It's good on the job, on the hunt... or.. just in case of zombies.

The next buy for me will be another Saiga, i have the 7.62 & .308, but this time in shotgun format! The 20ga is second to the next on my list to buy (Remmington 700 VTR in 308 is comming first) for the reasons that they are readily available for cheaper at my local gun stores. And i already have a load of ammo for my single shot 20ga.

rocinante 100
what they said about the 12 I second. This poll would of been better in saiga general than in the S12 forum. Why is .410 so expensive? When I was a kid that is what we used for squirrel hunting. I didn't buy the shells then but knowing how cheap my grand daddy was I figured they had to be competitive with 12 gauge prices at least back then.
CnRnut 3
I voted for the 20 ga. !!!! Main reason is I don't have one!!! Have a x39,.308,.410 and a 12ga. For a first shottie, think 12ga!! CnRnut
G O B 3,516
12ga. as this is the swiss army knife of shotguns. More ammo choices than all other callibers combined - and then some.
Franky 2
I have a Tromix in 12 bore. Now I think it's time to down-size to a .410 . The only other direction to go now is down. You Know.
Franky 2
12 ga for all the above reasons. I just wish they made it in a .50 BMG round. 1911 Tony might be able to do that. No Bullshit.
sw44 0
12 gauge is the way to go!! Nothing else gets the attention of the squirrels around here.

john1911 0
I voted for the 20 because that's my next purchase. If I didn't already have a 12, I would choose that.
6x6pinz 4
I am a 410 nut so any 410 is great for me. I do agree with the group if you want to modify and don't have any other shotguns around the 12 is probably the way to go. Currently have all three shotties available from Saiga. Now it is time to figure out how to get the Safir T14.
Dylan 0
I wish they made a 10 gauge I can see a Tromix 8" for some real punishment.

Franky 2
OMG!!!!!! Awesome! 10 bore. I can see the TROMIX TEAM Working on that project in the future. TEAM TROMIX has a ring to it. Tony my man, I might be willing to pass along the name for possibly, Oh, maybe another S12 with all the trimmings?! jk - FMJ. Edited March 21, 2008 by saiga12fan
BuffetDestroyer 969
I am going with the 12 Gauge because of two companies... AGP and MDArms! When I heard about the 10 rounders, I had to have one in 12 gauge. Being able to launch 10 ounces of lead at 1600 fps in less than 2 seconds makes me happy! I can't imagine how perma-boned I will be when I get the chance to do 20 ounces of lead! As a side note, it's not a shocker to see these results. Maybe "Forum.Saiga-20.com" would have different results!
Norty 13
What more can you ask for.....an AK47 with the power of a 12 GAUGE....SEMIAUTO 12 GUAGE with 10 round MAGS & if your lucky 20 round DRUMS!!!!! Think about it A 12 GAUGE AK47!!!!!!!!! You gotta LOVE IT....Do the right thing, get the 12!!!!!!!!
ILstMyMarbles 2
When I think of a shotgun, I think 12 guage. I want it to perform with utmost destructive capability. Hell, if they made a 10 guage Saiga I'd be in love all over again!
jcfreak9901 0
12ga. all the way! when the 12 shoots like a 20 how can you lose? Besides, I just saw that SHOWTIME movie today, how could a small gang bring down a brick building with 20's or 410's ? Ha!
