shooter2 5
Updated pic of my #2 Saiga-12, with an MD/Gunfixr gas reg, Chaos USA tri-rail, and Tapco "stubby" VFG: A friend shooting the gun; better lighting shows more gun detail. Ejected casing is on its way out of the picture.
sidewinderl 43
The mods are obvious, so I won't even bother listing them. If I get a new handguard, I'll probably go with the single rail Russian one...pretty satisfied with the way it is, though.

Kacey_Arnold 0
Well Let's hope this works. Saiag 12 Gasfixer gas plug modified tapco G-2 fcg Tapco AK T6 collapsable stock Saiga rifle DIY trigger guard Notes for those who have not done a MOD: 1) Make sure you actually have the parts you ordered. I didn't and was forced to modify parts while making my mod ordered a Tromix FCG got a double hook G2 FCG. 2) Get a vice. 3) Get out the old tap and dye set inevitably you will need it. 4) The retention spring, shepherds crock is fun to install, make sure to round the tip on the short side and hold down the tip on the long side. 5) Plan on it taking longer than what you might guess because stuff goes wrong. 6) Even parts "for the saiga 12" will need some modification. D-H 20
Here's mine, it's a lot like many others Saiga 12s that I have seen. Sorry for the bad cell phone camera quality. Only thing that I don't have yet that I plan on adding will be Kreb's sights. Warranty work + standard conversion by CGW Tromix DIY trigger guard Tromix stock w/limbsaver Tromix bolt-on charging handle Tromix Shark brake KA puck Kross Tri-rail Cobra's gas tube cover
theblackcat 0
First conversion, basic but only took me about 6-1/2 hours. Here's what I did: Tapco G2 modified and polished by me SAW grip (cut hole for for the grip nut) K-Var NATO stock Reused trigger guard (riveted the rear, mig welded the front, built up to look like a rivet) Left safety stop in place Reused/modified axis pin retainer Touched up paint on bottom of the receiver Removed the gas block and modified/opened it to uncover the forward gas ports (3 port gun) Slightly enlarged gas ports This is replacing my 870 this deer season. The conversion made carrying and shooting much more comfortable than the "sporting" config. Big thanks to all who posted how-to's and how-not-to's, made things simple and thanks to CSS for the parts.
